Step 4

We are now going to be adding a couple of layer styles so...

Layer > Layer Style > Outer Glow



Layer > Layer Style > Stroke



Your orb should now be looking something like...

Step 5

Now to add some shine effects :) The bottom shine layer is going to be created by selecting the area of your orb (if it is not already selected) and going Select > Modify > Contract by 2 pixels.

Step 6

Fill this area with white, one way to do this is to select the marquee tool and right click in the selection and go down to fill.
